Our Story

A third-generation family business.

Since 1975, we have made thousands of custom pieces for the most beautiful homes and the designers who dream them up, all across America.

We have been trusted to design and furnish twenty-million-dollar-plus homes, and we are most proud of our dedicated and loyal home-design partners who trust Vail Cowboy for their most important clients and projects.

Every piece is made in the United States. Every fabric is sourced directly from the mill. Every commission is a conversation, not a transaction.

The customer is the designer.

We don't make furniture for warehouses. Every piece begins with a person, a room, and a conversation. If we haven't asked how you live in the space, we haven't started yet.

Great work outlives fashion.

We build sofas that will still be beautiful when the trends of 2026 look as dated as the trends of 1996. Frames are heirlooms. Fabrics can be replaced.

Designers are our clients too.

Half our work is for the interior designers we've partnered with for decades. We honor their vision, protect their client relationships, and never sell direct against them.
