SINCE 1975 · TRUSTED PAST BEAVER CREEK'S 24-HOUR GATE

Getting past the gate is the easy part.

Region · Vail Valley
State · Colorado
Since · 1975
Beaver Creek is gated. Actually gated, 24 hours, since 1980. And it's built at a scale that makes Vail Village look modest by comparison.

Bachelor Gulch alone has 'national park lodge' architecture with timber and stone construction heavy enough to anchor a hotel, which makes sense since the Ritz-Carlton sits right in the middle of it. Arrowhead, the sunniest of the three connected villages, is technically inside Edwards but plays by Beaver Creek's rules, centered on the Jack Nicklaus golf course at the Country Club of the Rockies.

This isn't Vail's walkable-village model. Beaver Creek buyers want privacy and ski-in/ski-out access over foot traffic, and the homes reflect it. Bigger footprints, resort-grade finishes, rooms built to entertain rather than just live in day to day. The daily cookies at the base are a nice touch, but they don't tell you much about what belongs in a Bachelor Gulch great room.

Why Bachelor Gulch doesn't shop retail.

The lodge-scale architecture in Bachelor Gulch means ceiling heights and room widths well beyond what stock furniture lines are proportioned for. A standard sofa looks like a loveseat in a room with a twenty-foot stone fireplace. Beaver Creek Village's resort-branded residences bring their own constraint: many are fractional-ownership units with strict move-in logistics and elevator size limits that rule out fully assembled furniture. We build to knock down for exactly that reason. Add the valley's dry high-altitude air, which is unkind to lower-grade leather and veneer over a decade of intermittent heating and cooling cycles in a part-time home, and stock furniture starts looking like the wrong bet twice over.

Beaver Creek in numbers.

Median home priceApproximately $3.26M-$4.2M (Redfin March 2026 Beaver Creek Village median sale price $3.26M; Eagle County MLS reports $4,199,000 median for 70 active Beaver Creek listings July 2026)
Luxury marketApproximately $1,490/sf (2023) rising to $1,658/sf (2026), with multiple luxury sales exceeding $2,000/sf; Realtor.com shows Beaver Creek Golf Club at $1,392/sf listing average and Arrowhead at Vail at $1,181/sf

By late September the crowds thin out and Beaver Creek gets a particular hush to it Oktoberfest's beer garden still smells like the last one, and the aspens on the way up to Bachelor Gulch are doing their two-week show. If your ski-in place still needs its main room finished before the lifts turn on, this is the window. (818) 264-6340.
